I currently work at Miva in Cambridge near Boston. Quite a fun place to work!
Among the work that I have done in my previous lives:
My previous job was at Compete,
Inc. in Boston, MA. I worked there for 2 years until I had to leave because of health reasons, a couple of hernia operations between March and August of 2005. What a painful year that was.
Before that I worked at NetRatings,
Inc. in Milpitas, CA. I worked there for 4 years.
Here is a picture of some of the people that worked in my office, long, long time ago at a Friday night beer bust. I was the 19th employee and the company grew to about 240 people. They still have plenty of people but only about 2 people from this picture remain there.
I worked for
Netscape
Communications, Corp. In Mt. View. Netscape had almost 3,000 employees
before it merged with AOL.
At Netscape I worked as part of the News and Email group in the Netscape
Communicator group. I still use Communicator for email and web browsing.
I worked out of my own house for eMisis InfoCom from the UK , I used to program custom software for the GEOS based Nokia 9000 GSM and PCS 1900 cellular phone. It's really cool stuff, it all works but the assignment is over. I did UNIX server software and the client software was on the Nokia 9000.

It's a PDA with Internet access, email, fax, messaging, telnet and ... It's a cell phone.
I worked at Silicon Graphics (SGI) for almost 2 years doing Indy Connectivity, demo software and some hacks of my own, such as a 3D textured air hockey game using Open Inventor.
At Magic Edge, programmed the motion control, networking and ride control for the Virtual Reality Flight Simulator. It consists of a moving flight simulator where you get to fight other people in a virtual world. I got to do Windows, Mac and UNIX software for this.
Here is a view of the "pods" moving at Namco's "Wonder Eggs"entertainment park in Tokyo, Japan.
Have you ever worked 20 hour days for months ? I was so glad when finally, everything was working...and I could leave Tokyo and go back home. I was not looking very healthy by then.
At Apple Computer I spent 5 years developing system software, ROM's and other evil things such as free software. Some of the hacks I gave away for free became very popular, such as Extensions Manager, Zinc, NoFinder, NameThatTune and others. My main and most challenging job there was developing the ROM for the Quadra 840AV and basis for the PowerPC ROM. Yes, I had lots of help from my friends there.
